Equagel Protector Cushion
The EquaGel Protector Cushion is an alternative pressure cushion to any other on the market. It has a unique gel design that offers maximum comfort. It distributes weight evenly while the user is seated through weight redistribution properties of the grid design. This cushion has been designed to effectively minimize the pressure on the buttocks reducing the chance of pressure sores. This is a great product for people who have very limited movement while seated and are prone to pressure sores. The Protector cushion in 2.5 inches thick and is contoured in the pelvic area to more evenly distribute weight.
The EquaGel Protector Cushion has a waterproof cover and a velcro bottom for wheelchair users.
EquaGel is made of a dry-polymer gel that is rubbery to the touch. This gel forms columns in the EquaGel cushion and when a user sits on the cushion, the columns buckle into the hollow area between the walls for comfort and support. Air channels between the gel walls promote air flow. This, along with the breathable cover, optimises the skin microclimate. EquaGel cushions are maintenance-free, do not require set up and are flexible for use on wheelchairs seats.
