Steps:

1. Remove the product from the packaging.
2. Connect tubing to mask.
3. Connect distal end of tubing to oxygen source.
4. Set oxygen source to prescribed flow rate, ensuring connections are secure and oxygen is flowing through the device.
5. Place the mask over the patient’s nose and mouth with the elastic strap below the ears and around the neck.
6. Secure by gently pulling the ends of the elastic strap.
7. Mold the metal strip on the mask to fit the nose.
