Description
Granudacyn
Granudacyn is an irrigation solution designed for cleansing and moisturizing acute, chronic, and contaminated wounds, as well as first and second-degree burns. Its key component, hypochlorous acid (HOCl), ensures effective preservation, making Granudacyn a dependable solution for wound irrigation.
Granudacyn is suitable for cleaning, moistening, and rinsing various types of wounds, including:
- Chronic wounds of any depth, such as diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, and venous leg ulcers.
- Acute wounds, including cuts, bite wounds, lacerations, and abrasions.
- Surgical wounds, both intraoperative and postoperative.
- Wounds on cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and bones.
- Burns up to second degree.
- Radiation ulcers.
- Fistulas and abscesses.
- Cavities such as those in the ear, nose, and throat.
- Critically colonized wounds.
- Soft tissue injuries.
Granudacyn can also be used to moisten wound dressings and facilitate the removal of encrusted dressings.
Granudacyn is suitable for multi-patient use for up to 90 days (gel) and 60 days (solution) after opening. It contains a preservative, hypochlorous acid, which is naturally found in the body. Hypochlorous acid helps prevent the growth of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including MRSA, ORSA, VRSA, VRE, as well as viruses, fungi, and spores.
