Minims Tetracaine Eye Drops
Minims Tetracaine Eye Drops are used to numb the eye before surgery, certain tests, or procedures. The eye drops are used to prevent pain during the procedure. Tetracaine belongs to the group of medicines called local anesthetics. It works by blocking the pain signals at the nerve endings in the eye.
For minor surgical procedures, such as foreign body or suture removal: Instill 1 to 2 drops in the eye(s) every 5 to 10 minutes for 1 to 3 instillations.
For prolonged anesthesia, such as cataract extraction: Instill 1 to 2 drops in the eye(s) every 5 to 10 minutes for 3 to 5 doses
